Wondering why there are no mirrors in our Crunchi Compacts?
Why This Matters to Me (and to You)
As someone who helps women look and feel their best, I also care deeply about what’s behind the products we’re using every day.
The beauty industry creates an incredible amount of waste—especially plastic that often isn’t recycled and can end up in our oceans and environment. Over time, that waste breaks down into microplastics that impact both our health and the world around us.
That’s why I’m intentional about the brands I choose to recommend. I partner with companies that are making real efforts to reduce their environmental footprint, including working with organizations like 4ocean to help remove plastic from our oceans and waterways.
The beauty industry generates over 120 billion pounds of plastic waste every year — and only 9% of it is ever recycled. The rest pollutes land, water, and breaks down into microplastics that impact our ecosystems and health.
As the
first beauty brand to partner with 4ocean, we’re actively working to end the ocean plastic crisis. Certified Plastic Neutral by 4ocean, we help remove plastic from our oceans, rivers, and waterways with every purchase.
Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BCPP)
Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (BCPP) is a national organization working to eliminate toxic chemicals and other environmental exposures that lead to breast cancer.
Did you know? 1 in 8 women today will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and yet 90% of cases are not linked to genetics. That’s why we work with BCPP to eliminate the other known risk factors linked to breast cancer—to save lives and prevent the disease before it starts.
Crunchi is proud to be part of BCPP's Safe Cosmetics Leadership Council - a group of cosmetics and personal care companies committed to spreading awareness and lobbying on behalf of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics.
BCPP's Campaign for Safe Cosmetics
Safer Beauty, Made Personal
Over time, I’ve become much more intentional about what I put on my skin—and what I recommend to others. Because beauty isn’t just about appearance. It’s also about what we’re absorbing every day without even thinking about it.
That’s one of the reasons I support the work of the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics, which is dedicated to helping reduce exposure to harmful ingredients in personal care products. Their mission includes educating consumers, encouraging safer industry practices, and advocating for stronger protections that support health and well-being.
What resonates with me most is their focus on prevention and awareness—helping move the beauty industry toward safer standards so women don’t have to choose between performance and peace of mind.
For me, this all comes back to the same thing I share with my clients every day: feeling confident in your beauty choices should include feeling confident about what those choices mean for your health, too.
Pact Collective
Smarter Packaging for a Cleaner Future
I am pleased that Crunchi supports initiatives that are rethinking what happens to beauty packaging after we’re done with it.
Through involvement with the Pact Collective, brands are working together to reduce packaging waste and keep hard-to-recycle materials out of landfills. Instead of letting these materials go to waste, Pact helps collect and properly process them so they can be diverted and handled more responsibly.
What I appreciate most is their bigger mission: helping the beauty industry move toward packaging that is more sustainable, uses more recycled content, and is designed with true recyclability in mind from the start.
For me, it all comes back to simple awareness and better choices—because even small shifts in how we package beauty can lead to a much cleaner future.
